Four Seemandhra MPs Resigned
MPs Lagadapati Rajagopal, Vundavalli Arun Kumar, Sai Pratap and Anantha Venkata Reddy submitted their resignations today.
As they were given appointment by the Speaker of the Parliament Meira Kumar at 12.00 pm today, the four MPs met her and submitted their resignations in protest of the decision of the Congress party to bifurcate the State.
All the time the MPs and Ministers were in the opinion that the Congress party is going to review the situation in Seemandhra and accordingly may change its decision. But the Congress party has been acting adamantly sticking to its decision to bifurcate and time to time the indication that the decision will not be withdrawn at any cost was given by the statements of Digvijay Singh.
On the other hand a tension is prevailing in their constituencies where agitating people are demanding their resignations and joining in the protest against bifurcation.
It is known that the Speaker Meira Kumar assured the MPs that appropriate action will be taken soon.
