MLA Chintamaneni Arrested

Denduluru MLA Chintamanei Prabhakar was arrested yesterday at Duggirala in West Godavari District.   As per the police, Prabhakar was arrested in the case of attack on the camp office of Kavuri Sambasiva Rao at Eluru.

The camp office of the Union Textile Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao was under attack on Tuesday by TDP supporters under the leadership of Chintamaneni Prabhakar.  They went in to the office and damaged office furniture and created scene for which Prabhakar was arrested today.

With the information received that Kavuri Sambasiva Rao was going to his constituency and the TDP supporters planned to attack the premises, police cordoned off the road leading to Kavuri’s place but the vandals sneaked through it and gate crashed the office.  When the Minister’s followers tried to stop them, scuffling started between the two partymen.

Police are trying to identify the persons involved in the vandalism with the help of the video footage.

Chintamaneni was booked with other case as he tried to stop the convoy of Kavuri Sambasiva Rao when he was coming from Gannavaram airport.  For that Pedapadu police registered another case on Chintamaneni.

Kavuri says that all the violence is done with a preplan and vested interests but not connected to the Samaikyandhra movement.  He also said that he is will not get scared with threats of this sort as he has seen many of that kind during his four decades political experience.
