YSRC complain aganist tourism minister Chiru

The Telugu Desam and the YSR Congress Party have lodged a complaint with Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar against Union minister of state for tourism K Chiranjeevi seeking action against him for holding a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party’s office.

The two opposition parties, in separate memoranda submitted to the speaker, contended that rules should be the same for all parties and that there could not be exemptions for the ruling party.

They urged the speaker to direct Chiranjeevi to apologise for the lapse since there was a ruling that no such media conference should be held when the House was in session.

Chiranjeevi, who felt hurt over the two parties making an issue out of his media conference, said at Gandhi Bhavan that he had gone to the Assembly to meet his friends and addressed a media conference only during a break in the session. “They are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill,” he said.
