Congress cleared Jaya Prada’s name?

Hyderabad, May 7: Congress party has reportedly cleared the name of Jaya Prada for the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat.
Jaya Prada MP of Rampur in UP has decided to come back to the state and contest from Rajahmundry. Though she tried the tickets of the TDP and YSR Congress, she did not get any promise from those parties on Rajahmundry ticket. While TDP has Murali Mohan to contest from Rajahmundry, there is big demand for the seat in YSR Congress. Bommana Raj Kumar and Boddu Bhaskara Rama Rao’s son are strongly contesting for the seat. TDP MLC Boddu Bhaskara Rama Rao joined the YSR Congress only on an assurance that his son would get the Rajahmundry ticket, say sources.
With this, Jaya Prada met the Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and asked her about the ticket. After considering the claim, Congress High Command appears to have thought that Jaya Prada joining the party and contesting as LS candidate might have positive influence even in the neighboring constituencies and the state in general. As such it is learnt that the party assured her ticket. Now it is being said that the present incumbent Undavalli Arun Kumar might be sent to Rajya Sabha as he is a loyalist of the Sonia family.
