Telangana Congress MPs, KK to join TRS on June 2

Hyderabad : Telangana Congress MPs Manda Jagannatham, Vivek, and former MP K Kesava Rao have officially announced their decision to join the TRS.

Speaking to the media after a meeting in the residence of Vivek, the Congress MPs said in the presence of the TRS chief KCR and party leaders Eetela Rajender, and Vinod that they would join the TRS at a public meeting on June 2. They said they would wait till the night of Thursday to quit the party as per the deadline they set to Congress High Command.

The MPs said that they had waited for ten years for Telangana and made everything possible to convince the Congress party. They reminded the media that they remained in the Congress and fought for Telangana. They remarked that the UPA government had forgotten its promise to the people of Telangana. They said they would join the TRS and intensify the movement.

Rajaiah backed out?

However, another MP Rajaiah who was with the two MPs abstained from the meeting on Thursday. It is learnt that Rajaiah who recently declared that he too would quit the party, developed cold feet. It is being said that Rajaiah has not yet taken decision on leaving the party.
