The 13 resignation submitted by the MPs to the Loksabha Speaker Meira Kumar were rejected by her on Friday intimation of which was given to all of them over phone. The Loksabha Secretary General Balasekhar stated that the decision was taken in accordance to the article 101 (3) and Rule No.240 of the guidelines on the conduct of Loksabha. The resignations were submitted by the MPs with a demand to keep the State of AP united.

Resignations submitted by the Congress party MPs G.V.Harsha Kumar, A.Sai Pratap, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Anantha Venkatarami Reddy, Undavalli Arun Kumar, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Sabbam Hari and Kanumuri Bapiraju.

MPs YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy submitted resignations from YSR Congress party.   Congress party MP PY Reddy also resigned and after that changed to YSRCP.
MP Konakalla Narayana who resigned belongs to Telugu Desam Party.

Although the resignations were submitted in the prescribed format followed by an explanation in person, the Speaker came to the conclusion that the MPs have resigned under pressure after viewing the CDs of Speeches in Samaikyandhra movement.

As per the Article 101(3) of Indian Constitution the Speaker should accept a resignation from an MP only after getting satisfied that the resignation is submitted with a free will but not under pressure of any sort.  If the Speaker is not satisfied about it, the resignations can be kept aside and that is what happened in the case of 13 MPs who in the view of the Speaker have submitted their resignations under pressure.
