YSR Congress party which has emerged as a phenomenon to be reckoned with in the by-elections seems to be making swift moves for realignment of political forces.

While the MIM president Assaduddin Owaisi met Jagan on Tuesday, Vijaya Reddy, daughter of P Janardhan Reddy and Krishna, son of Minister for Animal Husbandary, Viswaroop met YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in jail on Wednesday.

They are said to have discussed the latest political situation in the State. While Vijaya was more forthcoming about her meeting with Jagan, Krishna said that he had gone to meet the former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana, who is also in the same jail.

But sources said that he met Jagan. Krishna has been in constant touch with YSRCP and is likely to announce his joining the party soon, according to the sources.

It is said that Vijaya had asked Jagan for Khairatabad seat and she may even become the president of women wing of Hyderabad unit of YSRCP.

Addressing the media, she said after the death of her father P Janardhan Reddy, the former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had given her lot of encouragement in all the activities she had taken up.

He asked her to be with the people constantly and attend to their problems as her father used to do. He had even asked her to enter active politics, she said. Asked if she plans to jump into active politics now, she said, ‘I will at appropriate time’.

Jagan’s wife Bharati Reddy and party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu also called on Jagan. Ambati said Jagan was a very courageous man and appeared to be cool and calm inside the jail.

He hoped that he would come out jail soon. Replying to a question on the meetings, Jagan has been having with various people, Ambati said wait for few days you will see for yourself what will happen.

Many from Congress are willing to cross over to YSRCP, he added. Among others who met Jagan during Mulakhat time were the wife of former DGP Swaranjiot Sen and Allagada MLA elect Shobha Nagi Reddy.
