In a move to placate the veteran and smoothen ruffles Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi met senior BJP leader LK Advani.

This is the first interaction between Advani and Modi since the Advani resigned from three key forums of BJP in the wake of the Modi’s elevation to head the party’s campaign committee.

Modi, who is in Delhi to meet Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia to finalise the state’s annual plan, will also hold talks with party chief Rajnath Singh and RSS chiefMohan Bhagwat.

Bhagwat, who had played a significant role in asking Advani to withdraw his resignation, has decided to meet the latter despite him voicing grievance over Modi’s elevation as the BJP’s 2014 poll panel chief.
