Konda ultimatum to Vijayamma

Hyderabad : The resignation of all the YSR Congress MLAs of the Seemandhra region had irked former minister Konda Surekha who has been strongly advocating Telangana right from the beginning.

As all the MLAs had resigned, the move is seen as the party’s plan and not that of the individual MLAs. This has angered Surekha who has been telling the people of the region all along, that her party was committed to the creation of Telangana. Now her plans to generate goodwill in the ‘T’ region were stymied.

Surekha has on Friday given an ultimatum to the party’s honorary president Vijayamma to officially state party’s stand on Telangana and explain the resignations. She threatened to declare her own plan of action, if Vijayamma failed to do so. She said this action of the MLAs would brand the party as a Seemandhra party. She questioned the party leadership to explain what the Telangana leaders should do now. She wanted Vijayamma to explain if this was an individual decision of the MLAs or if the party had taken such anti-Telangana decision.

Meanwhile Telangana leaders KK Mahender Reddy and Vijaya Rddy met Vijayamma here on Friday.
