It appears Telugu Desam Party legislator from Gudivada Kodali Nani has more or less decided to join the YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

According to reliable sources, Nani would meet Jagan in the Chanchalguda jail on Monday and might take the membership of YSR Congress party on the same day. He is expected to resign from the TDP and also the assembly membership before joining the Jagan party.

Sources said though Nani offered to continue as an MLA and be an associated member of the YSRCP. Jagan reportedly rejected the plan and asked him to resign from the MLA post before joining his party. He assured that he would take care of his victory in the by-elections and also 2014 elections.

Nani will be followed by Vallabhaneni Vamsi, the TDP’s urban unit president in Vijayawada, who has been totally unhappy with the way the TDP president had treated him in the recent Jagan hugging episode.
