Is KCR obstructing T-process?

Published on Jul 05 2013 // Featured, Political News

Few days ago, T-Congress leaders have loudly said that “Congress alone can give Telangana state and no one else can achieve it.” As if following the Congress game plan, the very next day, party state political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh has categorically stated that a decision on Telangana will be announced within 10 days. He even asked the state leadership to prepare road map for Telangana.

It leaves, KCR in deep shock, who wants to claim the entire credit of achieving Telangana state for himself. However, KCR is very sure about Congress party that it can’t take any decision due to several obligations it has with it. So, he declared that, when the Congress doesn’t want his involvement in Telangana process, then there is no need to merge his party into Congress. Though, the Congress is not interested for merger, when some Seemandhra leaders like Rayapati, Lagadapati and others start threatening to quit the party, it decides to prolong the issue by opening channels for negotiations with KCR over merger.

While, KCR wants the decision to be prolonged till next general elections to make enable his party win 15/100 seats in the elections, Congress also exactly prefers the same due to it own problems. So, both of they may continue their ‘merger drama’ for few weeks or months, so as to buy some time. If, they could continue this drama for few months, then both of they very well knew that neither of them needs each others consent on Telangana issue as they both have their own plabns to approach the people. If they successful in continuing their ‘merger drama’ KCR can go ahead carrying his Telangana sentiment, Congress can make a formal announcement on Telangana and claiming the credit of granting Telangana it can demand the people to vote for it.
