Chandrababu hopeful on 3rd Front formation
Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that TDP will not go for any alliance with BJP in state and national level. He said that he will take initiative at an appropriate time to form a 3rd Front. He opined both UPA and NDA have miserably failed at their capacities. While, Congress is confined to 3-4 northern states, BJP is also faring very badly, says Babu. Both these parties are not in a stage to win absolute majority on their own, because now the regional parties in all over the country have become stronger and obliges Congress and BJP to depend on them for their survival. He said regional parties are going to play a vital role after the next general elections at central level. Obviously, it provides scope for 3rd Front formation as a substitute to UPA and NDA alliance.
He said “When, my party returns to power, my first priority would be to put the state back on to track. Then only, I will think about national level politics. Unless, we return to power and prove our worthiness, we can’t expect anyone approach us for help at national level politics. However, I am in constant touch with many leaders at national level. We will chalk out an action plan for formation of 3rd Front at an appropriate time.”
Chandrababu has admitted that his eagerness in implementing economic reforms has played spoilsport during 2004 general elections. He said, if he is given a chance to return to power then he will gradually implement the economic reforms, while implementing his promises made during his padayatra.
