After a few very hectic years in Tollywood, actress Samantha has decided to take a break from Telugu films. The actress, who is called the ‘Golden Girl’ in Tollywood is currently working on three Telugu projects and once they are completed, Sam is looking to focus on her Tamil career. “Yes, I would like to take a break from Telugu movies next year. I have a couple of Tamil projects and would like to concentrate on them,” says the actress. Sam recently had two big releases and has a couple more in the pipeline — one with NTR Jr directed by Santosh Srinivas and the other, Manam, with three generations of the Akkinenis. “I have yet another film with director VV Vinayak that is going to go on the floors this month itself. Apart from these, I have not signed any new Telugu film,” confirms Sam. The actress further says that she signed these “big projects” because she wanted to do some commercial cinema before she could take a break. “I have done performance-oriented roles but I also wanted to play some glam characters. That’s the reason I signed these these films,” she affirms. Samantha, however, informs that she would be happy to do small budget films and that she would do it “without any remuneration” if she “likes the script”. “But I would want a share of the profits once the film releases and tastes success,” she says, while citing example of Pizaa, a very low-budget film that made a huge collection at the box-office. As the conversation veers to ‘rumours’ about her marriage, Sam instantly says, “Why would I marry in secret? People are writing so many things about my marriage — that I already married, that I live-in with somebody, etc. None of them is true. I will marry after a few years and when I do, I will announce it.”
