Yes, Priyanka Chopra seems to have got the hang of our language. But, it is only for a short while. Piggy Chops has reportedly dubbed for Toofan herself. She seems quite excited at the prospect, as Telugu films have become something Bollywoodians feel proud to be associated with.

Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, Toofan (Zanjeer) is a reprisal of an old Hindi film by the same name. Ram Charan will essay the role of an angry young man, portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan in the original version.

Ironically, Toofan will not be Priyanka’s first film in Telugu. A Tamil film has Pee Cee playing the lead role opposite Vijay. Dammunte Kasko, its Telugu dubbed version, will release in AP much before Toofan releases a month later. This effectively marks her debut to Telugu audiences.

It is interesting to note that the ‘Desi girl’ will entertain audiences before Charan does. It was supposed to be Yevadu first and with the film postponed, Ms Chopra will have two releases before the end of September.
