Priyamani has been gradually pulling attention towards herself with the serious posters of Chandi around town. Her bow and arrow wielding pose has created a flutter, but was not long lasting as the promotions for Ramayya Vasthavayya turned all heads towards Jr NTR. Chandi was supposed to have released today.

After generating quite a bit of noise over Priyamani’s strong and violent character in the movie, filmmakers have decided to give these two weeks a miss. Consequently, the story of Chandi will remain behind closed doors for now. There is no clue when it may peek out again.

The ongoing political agitations have also played a major role in the decision to postpone Chandi. Along with Priyamani, Nagendra Babu, Sarath Kumar, Posani and MS Narayana are also part of the film. Krishnam Raju also plays the role of a powerful king in the movie. The actress had reportedly trained a little in sword fighting and archery to give a convincing performance. Priyamani is recognized for her talent and this film is a natural choice for her abilities.
