Dasari Sensational Comments on Theatre Syndicate

Published on Jul 03 2012 // Movie News

Dasari Narayana Rao has once again raised the issue of theater monopoly in the state. At the Ee rojullo 100 days function yesterday, Dasari fired on those monopolizing theatres and claimed this was the reason a number of small Telugu movies were unable to make money these days.

The issue of theaters being taken for lease by a group of 4 Tollywood big shots has been in the news for sometime now but Dasari’s attack yesterday was the most scathing till date on this group. He said a day would soon come when the industry technicians and the audience would beat this theater Mafia and run them out of the state. He even mentioned the new Allu-Arjun starrer Juali and said people in Kurnool were waiting with weapons to ensure the movie release in maximum number of theaters.

Interestingly, all these comments were made during the 100 days function of Ee rojullo which was the first small film to make decent money in recent times. It was also distributed after the initial release by Producer Dil Raju, who is allegedly a member of this theatre lease syndicate.
