New Delhi : Even as reports have been stating that former actress and Rampur MP Jaya Prada would join the YSR Congress and contest from Rjahmundry were doing the rounds, she surprised every one by meeting the Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Speculations immediately started that Jaya Prada sought Rajahmundry ticket and offered to join and campaign for Congress if the ticket was given.

Now Undavalli Arun Kumar is representing Rajahmundry. He was a translator for late Rajiv Gandhi and is almost a family member of Sonia’s household. Reports say that Congress might send Arun Kumar to Rajya Sabha and give Rajahmundry ticket to Jaya Prada. However sources close to Jaya Prada claimed that she met Sonia only to complain about the UP police who abused her and removed the beacon from her official car.
