Islamabad, Jul 2: Pakistani authorities have alleged the involvement of 40 Indian nationals in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, days after terror suspect Abu Jundal, who was arrested from the Delhi airport last week, revealed that the attacks were controlled and executed from a Karachi control-room.

“Our information is that there were at least 40 Indian nationals who helped the attackers. We want India to come clean on this,” said an unnamed official, Pakistan Foreign Office, in an interview with The Express Tribune.

The report said during the meet of the foreign secretaries of the two countries in Delhi, Pakistan will “push” India to share details on the arrest of Abu Jundal.

The two-day talks, that is scheduled to begin on Jul 4, will focus on the arrest of Jundal and claims made by the Indian authorities, said the report.

“India has yet not shared anything with us about this arrest,” said the official.

Mumbai terror attacks would not have been possible without the help of Indian hand, alleged the official.

The official said Indian authorities had “always been reluctant to give us the full picture” of the probe into the terror attacks.

“When a Pakistani judicial commission visited India to collect evidence, it was stopped from cross-examining the witnesses,” claimed the official.

Defending the country, the official said, Pakistan could take a stand and “decisive action” if provided with complete details of the investigation.

“We cannot act on hearsay,” he said.

Abu Jundal was arrested after he was deported from Saudi Arabia. Indian officials reveal that he was travelling on a Pakistani passport.

Confirming his hand in the terror plot, Jundal confessed that he along with Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, was present in Karachi’s control room, while the terrorists were on a killing spree in Mumbai.
