After doing a flip-flop on the secret behind the mysterious disappearance of Bollywood starlet Laila Khan, the main accused in the case – Parvez Tak – has again confessed to have killed her along with her relatives.

Tak, who also happens to be the actress’ stepfather, gave a blow-by-blow account of the gruesome murders of Laila and her relatives to the crime branch officials of Mumbai Police during his interrogation.

According to Tak’s statement to police, Laila’s mother Saleena, who happened to be his estranged wife, wanted to give her property to builder friend Asif Sheikh. He said he suspected Saleena of cheating on him.

An argument between them over a drink turned violent on February 9, 2012 when Tak allegedly hit Saleena with a rod on her head in a fit of rage. Tak said Laila and her siblings confronted him after he hit Saleena.

Realising that Saleena would not survive the grievous injury, Tak called a Kashmiri watchman, Shakir Hussain, for help. He told police that Shakir grabbed Laila and Tak himself smashed her head with a rod.

He also admitted to killing Laila’s brothers Zara and Imran with the same rod. Tak said that he and Shakir kept hitting Laila and her siblings till they died. They then covered the bodies in bed-sheets and buried them.

The duo then set the farmhouse at Igatpuri in Nashik district on fire before fleeing to Jammu and Kashmir in different vehicles.

After his startling admission, the Mumbai Police has launched a massive operation to search the bodies of Laila and her relatives in Igatpuri. It could be mentioned that Tak, during his interrogation by the Jammu Police, had earlier admitted to have killed the missing people, but later changed his statement and denied that they were killed.
