Gali’s Brahmani land taken back

After prolonged delays and red tape the Kiran Government has commenced the process of resuming Government land granted to Brahmani Steels of tainted Gali Janardhan Reddy in Kadapa district.

Jammaladugu Revenue Divisional Officer G. Raghunath Reddy on Thursday initiated the process of resuming 10,670 acres of land allotted by the government to the Bramhani steel factory at Ambavaram in Jammalamadugu mandal.

The RDO inspected the administrative building, quarters, the central repair maintenance store and the blast furnace on Bramhani Steels premises. Revenue divisional surveyor Pullaiah and assistant survey officer Brahmam surveyed the measurements of the administrative building and the quarters, he said.

The government had recently issued a GO cancelling allotment of 10,760 acres of land to the steel factory. as there was no progress of work or production in the steel plant.
