Published on Jul 29 2013 // Featured, Political News

The speculations about CM Kiran Kumar Reddy resigning seem to be true with Minister TG Venkatesh’s acknowledgment. He said “My heart is saying that CM will quit his post if the state is divided. If, he quits then we also would like to follow his path.”

His statement underlines the media reports about his resignation. According to reports, Kiran Kumar Reddy who refused to oversee the bifurcation process has submitted his resignation letter to party Chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday itself. It is learnt that she is also quite angry with him for taking such firm decision, who until then used to assure her to obey the party decision. So, he may be replaced very soon, probably after completing of 3rd phase Panchayat elections.

If, the party relieves him from his duties, the question is who is going to succeed him in a conflict situation like this? If, someone from Telangana is given to succeed him to preside over the bifurcation, then it may be provoke the agitating Seemandhra leaders. Moreover, relieving Kiran Kumar Reddy from duties will also rage the Seemandhra leaders. So, Congress may ask Kiran Kumar Reddy to name his successor, who is acceptable to both regions to avert these problems.
