Trisha rejected Bollywood film?

Published on Jul 20 2012 // Movie News

Actress Trisha, who entered Bollywood with Akshay Kumar’s film Khatta Meetha, is very busy with her projects in South and she has no time for new offers in Hindi. If we are to go by the reports, the popular South Indian star has turned down the offer of actor-turned-director Prabhu Deva, who wants to remake hit Telugu film Nuvvosthanane Nenoddantana in Hindi.

It was reported earlier that Trisha had rejected the Hindi remake of director KS Ravikumar’s Tamil film Saamy, starring Sanjay Dutt. Just few days after this, the actress has said no to another Hindi remake. Sources claim that her close friend Prabhu Deva had approached her for the remake of Nuvvosthanane Nenoddantana, but she turned down his offer saying she cannot give bulk dates for the project.

Sources close to Trisha say that the makers of the Prabhu Deva’s remake wanted the actress to give bulk dates, which she could not accommodate. Sources add that the dates of the Bollywood film were clashing with the dates of her other projects. So the actress walked out of this big budget film.

However, Prabhu Deva has moved on to another popular South Indian star after Trisha rejected the offer. According to sources, the director has approached actress Shruti Hassan, who is currently in talks with him. If everything goes well, Shruti would star alongside Kumar Taurani’s son Krish, who will debut in films with TIPS.
