Suriya Sivakumar is one happy man. His film that was released this Friday in Tamil and Telugu, Singam (Yamudu 2), received a rocking response at the opening itself. The film has been well received and appreciated for Suriya’s stellar performance as action cop, Duraisingam. Suriya is extremely overwhelmed with such a great welcome from viewers and has expressed his heartfelt thanks to both the director Hari and fans. “Behind all my hard work, it was Hari’s vision and conviction that drove all of us to put in our best. It’s not an easy thing for a director and his team to decide what’s best for a film and reach out to all sections of the audience. That’s the reason why I say that Hari deserves all the credit for Singam’s success. I desperately needed a hit after my last two films that couldn’t do well and Yamudu 2 happened at the right timing” said the beaming actor. He then went on to thank his fans, especially in Telugu “I’m grateful to the people of Andhra Pradesh who have accepted me with open arms and supported our film. Interestingly, this is the first time both my mother and wife also appreciated my performance, which has never happened before”. Suriya confirmed that he has plans to do a Telugu film and will make an announcement soon. The actor is all set to shoot for Gautham Menon’s next in Tamil, Dhruva Natchathiram, and an untitled film produced by Lingusamy brothers.
