Some films shouldn’t be remade, says Charan

Published on Sep 06 2013 // Movie News

Charan is making his Bollywood debut with the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Zanjeer. While the film fraternity are going gaga over the newest power packed entry to Hindi Cinema, Charan is still dealing with the comparisons made with the original angry young man.

Happily, audiences seem to be accepting the young star for his distinct style. Toofan, of course will have its own loyal fan base. So, what does he mean when he says some films shouldn’t be remade? He is talking about his biggest blockbuster and one of Telugu Cinema’s best, Magadheera.

According to the actor, Magadheera was possible because of the input of the whole team and unless the team gets back together, the magic cannot be recreated. He went on to give the example of Aamir’s ’3 idiots’, which was one of Hindi’s cinema’s best. The movie’s remakes, on the other hand, did not have the same charm.

Meanwhile, Charan’s latest release Toofan has the assurance of police protection at theaters. Apparently Megastar dad, Union Minister Chiranjeevi, used his political clout to ensure Charan has a smooth run at the theaters. We can safely say, ‘Aal is well’.
