It is now confirmed. Ram Charan will reprise the role of his father Chiranjeevi in the remake of Khaidhi. Adding spice to it, Harish Shankar who delivered the biggest hit of this year in the form of Gabbar Singh will direct it. It is not yet clear when this project will go on to sets as both Charan and Harish Shankar are busy with their respective projects.

Released in 1983, director Kodandarami Reddy’s Khaidi was turning point in Chiranjeevi’s career. With Khaidi, he firmed up his position as leading actor. Thandra Ramesh will be producing this prestigious remake on his Jaya Balaji Real Meida banner. More details of this project very soon.
