FKS pushes down Rowdy Rathore, Shanghai at Box Office

Movie Ferrari Ki Sawaari opened to a dismal response, but it soon picked up to a remarkable growth at the Box Office in India. Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani starrer has grossed Rs 13.91 crores nett in the first weekend, while old releases Rowdy Rathore and Shanghai collected Rs 9.65 crores and Rs 3 crores, respectively.

Despite getting rave reviews from critics, Ferrari Ki Sawaari received a very dull response with its occupancy 25% to 30% in both single screens and multiplexes in the first two shows on the first day. But the movie picked up well in the evening and night shows. The film collected Rs 3.04 crores nett at the Box Office on Friday.

A positive word of mouth played a big magic for Ferrari Ki Sawaari, thereby taking its business to the upward trend on the second day. The movie collected Rs 4.50 crores at the Box Office on Saturday. The business of the film further improved on Sunday. It added another Rs 6.37 crores nett to its three days total collection Rs 13.91 crores nett. It has done good collection in metros and mini-metros.

Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore, which released on June 1, has continued to do well at the Box Office even in the third weekend. The movie, which crossed the 100 crore mark in just ten days, has added Rs 9.65 crores nett to its 17 days’ total collection Rs 124.15 crores nett. The breakup of its third weekend business is Rs 2.25 cr on Fri, Rs 2.90 cr on Sat and 4.50 cr on Sun.

Meanwhile, previous week’s release Shanghai, which features Emraan Hashmi, Abhay Deol and Kalki in the leads, has gone down drastically at the Box Office. The movie performance was below the mark even at hi-end multiplexes. It has collected Rs 3 crore nett in the second weekend, taking the 10-day total to Rs 20.50 cr nett.
