Ram Charan acting in the remake of 1970’s flick Zanjeer is old news. We have the latest bite to add on. Apoorva Lakhia’s remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1970s cop film will be released in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. More than anyone Megastar Chiranjeevi is closely following with the developments of this film. Sources tell us that Chiranjeevi has handpicked Telugu director Yogi to oversee the entire Telugu related work.

For those of you who are unaware, Yogi directed  Oka Raju Oka Rani and recently Venkatesh’s Chintakayala Ravi . The work of this film is moving at a brisk pace. The movie wrapped up a major Bangkok schedule.

Ram Charan, Prakash Raj and Mahie Gill had a blast shooting this film, we hear. They have been savoring the local delicacies when not shooting. Mahie just could not get enough of the Thai dish, Khao Phad Kai Do, egg-fried rice done the Thai way. It had to be on her plate every single day.

Mahie Gill plays the seductress in the movie while Ram Charan has Priyanka Chopra as heroine. Priyanka is yet to join the regular shoot of this film. Meanwhile, Ram Charan is shifting to V V Vinayak’s film from July 20th in Kolkota.
