Sarbjit Singh, who was assaulted by inmates in Pakistan prison and had brain injury was died on the early hours of Thursday. Earlier, when his family members from Punjab were allowed to visit him were told that he was brain dead and there is no hope for his recovery at all. However, Pakistan government has rejected the appeals made by them and the Indian government to shift him to India. Hence his family members have returned home leaving the decision to Pakistan government whether to provide ventilator support or to not. Pakistan government has declared that he was died with cardiac arrest on the early hours of Thursday.
