Hyderabad, March 20: The controversy over dubbed TV serials was reflected in the Assembly on Wednesday. CPI gave notice for an adjournment motion, demanding a ban on the dubbed films and serials.

TDP sought to move an adjournment motion on VAT, YSRCP on power cuts, TRS on Telangana resolution and CPM on sub-plan for workers dependent on handicrafts. When the Speaker rejected them, opposition members surrounded the podium and stalled the proceedings, forcing the speaker adjourn the house for an hour.

It may be mentioned that Telugu artistes have been demanding ban on dubbed films and serials as they were affecting their livelihood. Noted director Dasari Narayana Rao has been supporting their demand.
