The veteran Telugu film actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao admitted in the hospital following a stomack pain on 8th October. Doctors found cancer cells in the physical system of ANR. ANR held a media conference at Annapurna Studio today in which he revealed the fact that cancer is found in his body.

He said on the occasion that he served film industry for 74 years which is a record. But, he said, it became possible because of the fans’ support and encouragement in addition to his will power. ANR said that his family is totally dedicated to the film industry.

ANR remembered various awards he received during his 74 years film career. Akkineni is 90 years old now but still active and acting in “Manam” a movie depicting three generations in which Akkineni Nagarjuana and also Naga Chaitanya are also acting.

Telugu film industry evidently has grown up with him as it is celebrating completion of 82 years where as Akkineni celebrated his 90th birthday recently.
