Prepare for elections : Vijayamma
YSR Congress Party has sounded the poll bugle ahead of the ensuing local body elections and called upon its party activists to ensure victory in all the Panchayats in the State.
Honorary president of YSRC Y.S. Vijayamma gave a clarion call to party men to fight the collusive strategies of the ruling Congress and the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in both local body and 2014 polls.
Cautioning the cadres that the Congress might go to any extent to win the prestigious elections, Vijayamma feared that the ruling dispensation would let loose its henchmen, dump money and shower liquor to win over the voters.
Meanwhile, Ms. Vijayamma called her son, who is housed in Chanchalguda jail, a ‘disciplined son’. Pointing out that the YSR family had been in the mining business for quite long, she observed that there was no need for them to indulge in corruption to make money as they were already getting it aplenty.
She also called Jagan a ‘born businessman’ whose business interests should not be mixed with the political decisions of the erstwhile government.
“When Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra and Mulayam Singh’s daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav can pursue their own business interests, why does it hurt the Congress if former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s son is into business?” she questioned.
Rayalaseema regional in-charge Bhuma Nagi Reddy, local legislator Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, former Ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Shoba Nagi Reddy, party leaders Ambati Rambabu, Jupudi Prabhakar, R.K. Roja, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and others took part.
