Sonu Sood who was bedridden for the next 8 weeks following an injury in CCL had to pay a heavy price. He lost the chance of acting in Zanjeer remake and is now replaced by Sri Hari. Initially, it was Sri Hari’s role but the makers opted for Sonu Sood later for some reason. And now Sri Hari bagged it again. The veteran actor had already started shooting for the film.

The movie is the remake on 1973 blockbuster movie, Zanjeer and is the Bollywood debut movie of Ram Charan. Priyanka Chopra is playing the female lead in the movie. Apoorva Lakhia is wielding the megaphone.The movie is being made in Telugu and Hindi and both the versions will have simultaneous release.
